International Human Rights Day
The Greenfield Weekly Peace Vigil, the Connecticut Valley Coalition for Women's Lives, and the Tom Mooney local of the Socialist Party are co-sponsoring an International Human Rights Day vigil and speak-out this coming Saturday, December 10, at 11 a.m. on the Greenfield Town Common.
This event is in solidarity with detainees fighting for their basic legal rights in jails throughout the United States, in the "ghost prisons" of Eastern Europe, in the prisons in the Middle East, and at Guantanamo Bay-- all part of the U.S. government's brutal and illegal "war on terror" strategy.
Come hear Attorney Buz Eisenberg's first-hand information on this situation, and join other community members in speaking out for human rights for all. Stop the torture! No justice, no peace!
