9/1 Double Meeting in Cambridge MA (Thurs.)

We will be having a two-for-one meeting on September 1st in Cambridge. The Young People's Socialist League will be meeting at 4:00pm to establish a Regional Coordinating Committee and follow up on some of the campaigns that came out of our National Convention. Also, the Greater Boston Local of the Socialist Party will meet at 5pm to rekindle SPUSA organizing in the Boston area. National Secretary, Greg Pason, will be coming up from New Jersey to help new members in the Boston area get started.

If we have your mailing address, you should be getting something in the mail soon. Please take note of the enclosed red membership application and renew your dues or we may remove you from our list! If you are not a member but would like to be on our mailing list, please email us your current address.

We will meet in the Community Room at the Harvest Coop, Central Square Cambridge. Here is a map of the area: Cambridge Map

2 History of the Socialist Party and the Greater Boston local, report on YPSL

3 National Secreatry Greg Pason will be coming up from New Jersey to connect us with national SP organizing and answer questions about getting started

4 Discussion of local and national issues that interest Boston area local comrades.

5 Coordinating work with SPMA - Tax the Rich Campaign, Fair Vote Coalition, labor solidarity, women's issues, 2006 state referendum questions, and much more!

6 Setting up the next Boston area local organizing meeting, endorsing/organizing other events
