8/16: Convention Planning Meeting

The Socialist Party will meet at 5:30 pm on Sunday, 16 August 2009 in the Lucy Parsons Center. We will start getting ready for the fall, including the return of students and a series of major actions: the G20 mobilization in Pittsburgh; Rosie Jimenez Day; and the 17 October antiwar mobilization. In particular, we will prepare for the Socialist Party National Convention coming up 9-11 October, by electing delegates and discussing proposals. Members, supporters, and the curious are all invited to attend. Please note that we have altered our monthly meeting schedule to better accommodate members' schedules.

The Lucy Parsons Center is located at 549 Columbus Ave. in the South End, near the Mass Ave. T stop on the Orange Line, the Symphony T stop on the Green Line (E), and the #1 bus line.
