2/27: CISPES Delegation Send-off Party
Join the Socialist Party at a fundraising party for the Boston CISPES election observer delegation to El Salvador, 8 pm at Encuentro5 (33 Harrison Ave., fifth floor, by the Chinatown T stop on the Orange Line).
CISPES is the Committee In Solidarity with the People of El Salvador, an organization founded in 1980 to support El Salvadoran targets of US-backed death squads and dirty wars. They are sending delegations to El Salvador this March to observe the presidential election that the left is poised to win, despite the efforts of the US. A Socialist Party member is part of the Boston delegation, and will report back on the elections at our next local meeting.
