9/1: Bread and Roses Festival
Join the Socialist Party of Boston at the 24th Annual Bread and Roses Festival, Labor Day in Lawrence. The Bread and Roses Festival celebrates the labor movement, particularly the 1912 "Bread and Roses" strike of Lawrence millworkers by the anticapitalist Industrial Workers of the World (IWW).
From noon to 7 pm, the Lawrence town common will host music, entertainment, historical tours, and a host of radicals, including the Socialist Party. Stop by our table (look for our banners and flags) to chat and learn more about the Socialist Party, our past, present, future, and plans for the Lawrence area and the rest of Massachusetts.
