March 13, 2006 E-mail ballot National Organizing Committee Representatives Following the National Committee resolution to name two female and one male Party representative to the National Organizing Conference Committee, Steve Sears submitted the following names of members who volunteered to serve. From Oregon: Linda Mc Kinney and Angeline Kimmons From Chicago, IL: Steven Baughmann Motion: To name Angeline Kimmons, Linda McKinney and Steven Baughmann as Socialist Party representatives to the National Organizing Conference Committee. Motion passed 6 yes 1 abstention (Matthew Andrews). March 17, 2006 E-Mail ballot Greg Pason reported that Shaun Richman submitted a letter of resignation as Editor of The Socialist. He also reported that a convention decision mandated that the May/June issue be in members hand before May Day and that the publication was scheduled to go to the printer no later than April 1. Motion: To name Diane Brand, as convener of the Editorial Board, as the editor of the May/June issue of The Socialist. If for any reason, Diane Brand is unable to serve, the NAC authorized the National Secretary to edit the magazine. Motion passed unanimously. (6 yes). back to minutes |
