Socialist Party USA: National Committee

The National
Committee is elected by the Socialist Party's biennial Convention to
carry out the Party's affairs between conventions. It is the governing
body of the Socialist Party USA and the Social National Committee
election fund.
The National
Committee elects the National Secretary, National Treasurer, Campaign
Clearinghouse Coordinator, International Secretary and Editor of the
Party's magazine. It drafts and administers the national budget,
coordinates activities and passes official statements.
The Committee is gender-balanced , elected at large. The number of
National Committee members is determined by each convention, with an
equal number of alternates. The Committee includes two Vice Chairs and
one or two Chairs. The current officers and members of the National
Committee are listed below.

Party USA National Action Committee
The National Action
Committee (NAC) is a body elected to make decisions between
National Committee Meetings.
The NAC is composed of the constitutionally mandated National
Secretary, National Treasurer, Editor as well members appointed by the
National Committee. These appointed members are currently the Chairs,
Vice-Chairs and two (i.e. non-alternate) National Committee members.
Those two NC members change every NC meeting.
